1. Identify leadership skills possessed by master’s-prepared social workers
2. Explore strategies for meeting needs of nurses supervised within a social work leadership model
3. Recognize the role of social work leadership in creating a strong transdisciplinary model of care
This session will demonstrate the appropriateness and benefits of having master’s-prepared social workers in positions of leadership in hospice and palliative care. Faculty will describe how the skills necessary to be an effective social worker in the field transfer easily and effectively to running a team, a department or an agency.
