Tax exempt hospice organizations are actively engaged in fundraising to support the missions of their organizations whether through the respective hospice organization or related foundations.   This session will provide participants an in-depth review of key IRS focus areas in relation to the ongoing charitable spending initiative as well as IRS reporting requirements related to conducting fundraising and gaming events and issuing charitable contribution substantiation acknowledgements along with an overview of state registration compliance.
