2. Create specific messages to reduce anxiety and increase compliance
3. Use presence, eye contact and body language to reinforce caring and empathy
There is an old saying, “I don’t care how much you know until I know how much you care.” This session explores specific strategies and behaviors that we can implement or teach to others to convey caring and empathy. These include developing key words, neutralizing completive situations, practicing presence and consciously using body language to foster relationships with patients and families.
