The hallmark of hospice care is the interdisciplinary group (IDG) meeting where various disciplines representing multiple generations gather to discuss the patients and families in their care.  The team interaction at IDG is often a microcosm of the overall interactions of the hospice workplace. With all the changes in healthcare, how can hospices find strength in their multi-generational workforce? What strategies will enable hospices to work cohesively and effectively in the midst of generational differences, both inside and outside the IDG? This session will provide leaders the skillset to navigate the workplace changes in a multi-generational context.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify five common generations in today's workforce and their characteristics
2. Identify the challenges leading multi-generational staff
3. Apply strategies in crafting a successful and collaborative multi-generation work environment
