This session will explore actual scenarios presented to the NHPCO Regulatory Posse. Participants will enhance their ‘relatedness determination skills’ as faculty present and dissect difficult and challenging cases. Determining relatedness, or lack thereof, can impact whether a patient should be admitted to hospice and impacts the coverage responsibilities of the hospice agency.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify key aspects of determining relatedness
2. Apply available resources combined with critical thinking skills to help determine relatedness
3. Analyze difficult patient presentations to arrive at supportable relatedness determinations
