Hospice education departments have a pivotal role in developing staff competency, meeting regulatory requirements and ensuring changes in practice are communicated and implemented. Education departments can also help leadership meet organizational challenges by shifting from a reactionary to a proactive approach in program planning and implementation. In this session, strategies and opportunities for education departments to make this shift, stabilize the organization and assist in the development of a workforce prepared for the future will be explored.
