1. List the requirements of the PPACA (healthcare reform law) that apply to hospice and describe the progress on three of the hospice provisions
2. Describe the process CMS will use to collect more data and implement hospice payment reform
3. List three of the top 10 survey deficiencies and describe what state surveyors are asking hospices to do to comply
In this session, CMS will present an update on the implementation of healthcare reform, including the status of hospice payment reform. In addition, the top ten survey deficiencies surveyors are finding will be explained, as well as survey procedures for hospices.
