Wouldn’t it be great if everyone were the same, or even better, just like you?  Then managing people would be simple.  Just treat and manage others the way you like to be treated and managed.  This is a misconception held by too many managers, especially those new to management.  People are different.  So why should we think that we can manage all these differences in one way, using one approach or management style.  This workshop lays out an approach for incorporating the simple truth that people are different into a management approach that empowers the manager to treat people differently in an effort to unleash the power of all those differences in a way that honors the individual while focusing work effort on meeting the needs of those we serve.
